What The Hell Is Going On?

Can anyone in the Christian community explain what is going on with corporate America? All this political drama has been a distraction to the culture war that is raging on. Christians seem to be blindly unaware of the demonic forces at work in corporate America. I have included several commercials that, if aired ten years ago, would have been anathema to modern American culture. Today, these commercials are aired with little, if no, thought as to what is going on around us. Evil forces within the wealthy elite of corporate media, Hollywood celebrity, and the political left are shoving their insidious morality upon the American populace. Here are some examples of pernicious marketing from major corporations that are unchallenged in faith-based communities.

Remember when Coke was a wholesome brand? Notice how they are imprinting transgenderism onto your kids. Most of these commercials target kids and pull on the heartstrings of family systems. What does transgender equality have to do with sugar-water? The irony is that coke products are extremely unhealthy, cause diabetes in children and adults, decay teeth, and contribute to the growing obesity problem around the world. Who is Coca-Cola to speak of moral truth? Christians watch this commercial and do not realize that marketing campaigns such as this do so much more than sell coke products, they shift the moral compass of American family and lifestyle in pure opposition to that of biblical morality and family. Think about the rising suicide rates of transgender people the next time you pick up coke and ask yourself if normalizing gender dysphoria is working for the good of humanity.

Every time I bit into the creamy center of my Oreo cookie, I like to think of my lesbian daughter and the plight of her sexual decision process. What does this commercial even mean? What point is Oreo cookie making about sugary confections? The answer is – none! They could care less about selling cookies, right now the corporate brass in major American corporations is working on changing the cultural landscape of America where no moral judgments are made, and they can be free to peddle their unhealthy and physically corrosive products on a brainwashed and compliant populace. Instead of dealing with the reality that cookies, and other sweet concoctions of the kind, actually harm your children and equip them with poor immune systems, Nabisco (owner of Oreo) thinks it prudent to weigh in on the homosexuality question. Could they at least have had someone in the commercial eating an Oreo?

Pantene put out this commercial about a young girl with gender dysphoria (GD) and her catch phrase is “everybody loves everybody.” Think of the progressive logic behind that; where can that go when everybody does what is right in his/her own eyes. Where have we seen that before? Notice a constant theme in these commercials? They are targeted to the family. It used to be that companies would single out the target audience for specific products and construct commercials in pursuit of that potential buyer. Do you think teenage boys and older fathers are the target audience for Pantene? The purpose of this commercial is to persuade fathers, who are typically the head of Judea-Christian households that homosexuality and transgender equality are, and should, be acceptable within the modern family system and no part of it harms or threatens that system. This is an absurd lie that is promulgated throughout the media and is now being foisted on the family to accept, or else.  

Mastercard, of course, got in on the new morality train where they offer cards where you can have your new transgender name displayed as if that was important. The left is consumed with renaming, redefining, and recategorizing American society. It is a constant theme in the language of politics, the message in media/commercial, and echoed from the Hollywood elite. “Love is love” – whatever that means. “Proclaim your truth” – as if the truth was subjective. “Everybody loves everybody” – except when that “body” follows the Bible. According to MasterCard, you can capriciously pick anybody or anything to put on your MasterCard and represent who, or what, your stand for when purchasing services and products. When did this become part of economic commerce? What the hell is going on here?  

I wanted to end this article with a video that answers our question: What the hell is going on? In this video is a recent MMA match where a former man, now a woman, beats up a biological woman. This is what is going on, women, and men, are under attack from the forces of evil, and secular America supports it. This video symbolizes the secular left in America – where everybody does right in his/her own eyes, no judgments are made, and sin does not exist. So what the hell is going on? – Hell is going on! Hell is here, on earth, in full glory of its debauchery, opposition to truth, attack on the family, and love for sin. The Church – which stands in opposition to all these principles is under attack and it is time for God-fearing Christians to fight back.

There is a very significant passage in the Bible that explains this Christian plight:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:10 – 12).

I know that many of my charismatic Christian brothers and sisters liken this passage to the unseen realm and I do not disagree with them, but they miss the point. What Paul is explaining here is the ideas of society that are so pernicious and evil. Those ideas have their genesis in the supernatural, but mankind is at war with the evil ideology of a Godless world, that lives in opposition to the holiness of God and His divine order. That is what is at work here, the ideas of a secular society are at war with the ideas of a Christian worldview where living in the spirit means that we equip ourselves for spiritual warfare; a battle of the minds:

Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak (Ephesians 6:13-20 ESV).
